if:book Australia in association with writingWA will be hosting a one day seminar in Perth on 4 October.  The seminar will provide an opportunity for West Australian writing practitioners to learn about digital publishing and content from international guests including Chris Meade, Richard Nash, Cory Doctorow and Hugh McGuire.

The seminar will cover new business models in the publishing sector, and new ways to licence, distribute and sell your content.

Next Text will be held in the State Library Theatre, starting 9am on 4 October.

2010 T.A.G. Hungerford Award - Prize doubled to $12,000

writingWA is delighted to announce that it will contribute $6,000 to the 2010 T.A.G. Hungerford Award prize pool, matching the contribution made by New Edition Bookshop and raising the total cash prize to $12,000.  The Award recipient will also receive a publishing contract with Fremantle Press.
