The Premier's Summer Reading Challenge

The Premier's Summer Reading Challenge (PSRC) is an annual programme delivered in a partnership between the Department of Education, the State Library of WA and writingWA.

Structured as a summer school holiday reading competition for children K-Y7, the principal objective of the PSRC programme is to encourage children to discover and develop their enjoyment of reading.

writingWA contributes to this programme each year through the development of a Recommended Reading List featuring titles by leading West Australian children's authors and illustrators, and an associated programme of free author talks and readings held at libraries and schools throughout the state.
