Writers on the Road 2009

Each year writingWA, with additional funding from Country Arts WA and sponsorship from Healthway, coordinates a series of tours by professional writers to regional and remote communities throughout WA. In building Writers on the Road regional tours, writingWA prioritises delivery of activities within schools. Thereafter we also seek to incorporate additional community-based activities where possible and appropriate.

Writers on the Road tours for 2009 will include

• Ken Spillman (children's and YA author) in a two week tour of the Goldfields,
• Mark Greenwood (children's picture book author) in a two week tour of the Kimberley and
• Ara Jansen (journalist) in a two week tour of the Wheatbelt.
