The CAL Scribe Fiction Prize

posted in Competitions on 2010-07-26

After the overwhelming success of the inaugural CAL Scribe Fiction Prize, we are pleased to announce that the prize money in 2011 has been increased to $15,000. The winning novel will also be published by Scribe.

Once again, we are searching for the best unpublished manuscript by a writer aged 35 or over. Entries open on 1 August, and you can now download an entry form.

This year, as a means of reducing paper wastage, we are encouraging writers to submit electronically. Email info@scribepub.com.au with the following attached as Word documents or RTFs:

    * your full manuscript
    * a synopsis of your manuscript (up to 300 words)
    * an author bio (up to 50 words).

Then post your completed entry form to us, including your payment details for the $40 entry fee.

(If you cannot submit your entry electronically, you may post us a hard copy of your manuscript, synopsis, bio and entry form instead.)

Entries close on 15 September.
