Mark is an author with a passion for Australian history. His books aim to encourage an appreciation of our unique myths and legends. The Legend of Moondyne Joe and The Legend of Lasseter’s Reef have won the West Australian Premier’s Award for children’s books. Fortuyn’s Ghost tells the haunting story of an ill-fated Dutch East India ship. Mark’s new picture book, Simpson and His Donkey traces the boyhood friendship of John Simpson Kirkpatrick and his friend Billy Lowes - from their home in North east England to the battlefield of Gallipoli. |
